Jenny Walford - PR and Communications
Jenny is ADPR’s Joint Managing Director. Jenny is a highly seasoned communications professional who plays a vital role in getting to the heart of a brand, their purpose, the project, and its objectives. Her experience spans a variety of sectors including sport and leisure, technology, FMCG, home interest, consumer finance, film, TV, gaming and education. Having worked in-house and within agency, Jenny is a master of campaign development, interpreting briefs and understanding exactly what clients need. Creative to the core, she is always brimming with ideas on how to devise and deliver strategies and campaigns targeting a wide range of audiences with diverse challenges that stand out from the crowd. Jenny has recently been awarded a CIPR Specialist Diploma in Internal Communications.
Alex Clancy - Business & Education
Serving as Head of Business Development at Wiltshire College & University Centre and now as Assistant Principal for Employer Engagement at Yeovil College, Alex directly supports around 5,000 learners. This includes partnerships with some of the largest tech employers in Somerset, particularly in the defence and manufacturing sectors. Alex is also part of the Regional Place Leadership Group for South Somerset, North & West Dorset and is actively involved with key strategic stakeholders across the South West, including at Hydrogen South West, the South West Defence Cluster, the West of England Institute of Technology, and Yeovil Chamber of Commerce and Somerset Chamber of Commerce.
Paul Smith - Students / Youth
Paul is a brand consultant, graphic designer, and Associate Lecturer in Creative Graphic & Digital Design at BTC. With his wealth of expertise and creative passion, Paul brings a unique blend of skills, experience, and forward-thinking ideas to inspire the next generation while driving innovation in Somerset. As the leader of 'The Realm', a ground-breaking digital project at Bridgwater & Taunton College, Paul is bridging traditional arts with digital creativity, equipping students with modern tools, technologies, and real-world insights. This exciting initiative also creates opportunities for local businesses to collaborate with students and faculty, sparking innovation and supporting business growth in our community.
Scotty Quilter - Tech
Scott Quilter, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Techosaurus brings over 20 years of expertise in IT strategy, digital transformation, and modern work solutions to the team. His passion for leveraging technology to solve complex problems and drive growth makes him a fantastic addition to the board. From his deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 and automation to his engaging talks on tech trends, Scott is a true innovator. We are delighted to have the opportunity to ask him to bring his skills, insight, and dedication to the team as we continue to champion innovation and collaboration in the Somerset tech community.
Amy Ralston - Digital IP & Legal
Amy Ralston (Chairperson) is a Legal 500 recommended Intellectual Property and Technology Associate Lawyer at Stephens Scown, a B Corp and employee-owned law firm in the South West. Specialising in AI and Influencer Marketing Law, Amy guides clients through the entire innovation lifecycle, ensuring their ideas are protected from inception to commercialisation. I am delighted to be involved in Digital Somerset – pushing the digital literacy and accessibility agenda and bonding with Lizzie over how great of a film Love Actually is! Tasha Astill - Business & Education
Tasha has spent 23 years I working in the cycle trade as an account and brand manager for Raleigh, Dawes and latterly Avocet Cycles looking after over 100 retailers across the South of England. She now works in the Business Development team at BTC as a Relationship Manager looking after the business and professional studies sector which includes all things digital. Tasha also manage the healthcare sector including the higher degree apprenticeships in nursing. Her role is essentially to identify suitable training for all types of employers in an attempt to plan for future workforces whether that is recruitment or up skilling existing staff.
Nick Porter - Business & Finance
Nick was born in Taunton and grew up in Street in Somerset. Nick is very proud of his roots and has spent the past decade focussed on supporting Somerset businesses and communities in his day time job as Barclays Regional Manager for Business Banking in Bristol and West of England. Nick is an Inward Investment Ambassador for Invest Somerset and sits on other boards and forums across Somerset to support wider initiatives, including Digital Somerset. Nick is a season ticket holder at Exeter Chiefs, loves all things tech and attending live music events.
Barry Tottle - Business & Marketing
Barry is co-founder and director of Teapot Agency a creative digital agency based in Somerset but working nationally and internationally. A born and bred Somerset lad he is very invested in the county and is very happy to invest his time in Digital Somerset, to promote the county, growing the tech community and helping join, funnel and collaborate with others to improve Somerset’s digital position. A designer by trade Barry has grown to embrace digital technology and the relishes the exciting speed of development in the industry.
Lizzie Tottle - Business & Marketing
Lizzie has been a graphic designer for 30 years but has spent the last 15 years of it co-running creative digital agency Teapot. Based in Somerset on the levels, they employ 20 creative and digital gurus to design and build websites and do SEO and digital marketing for over 300 clients. Teapot are Mailchimp Pro Partners, Prestashop Platinum Partners and suppliers of Green Hosting (under the Green Web Foundation) for all the websites we build. Lizzie is also on the Somerset Chamber of Commerce board of Directors.
